This is my finished piece and I feel that I have achieved my aims and managed to shift sympathy from bethany to Damien. I am now going to concentrate on getting as many people to watch my film and fill in the questionnaires as to get other an audiences opinion on whether my goals where acheived by asking questions concerning the aims.
Overall I am very happy with my film and feel that the conventions of psychological horror/thrillers were met with the use of music the use of tension building.
For example, in the scene where Damien is cleaning up Bethanys' blood, he is doing it at such a casual speed to portray the idea that he isn't that bothered, however, with the use of the teddy bear, I am showing innocence as to making the audience feel more uncomfortable, and by including a click noise, followed by 'tiptoe through the tulips' by Tiny Tim, it shows that he turned on the music, and chose a creepy song to clean up to.
I had a few dicontinuities within my film, however I will ask my viewers whether they noticed any after viewing it so I can see if the mistakes are noticable to them.
